Supported equipment

Blodgett equipment we repair

Choose the equipment type for problem details and service information. Bastion Service is an independent repair company and is not affiliated with Blodgett.

Diagnosis first

What a service technician checks

Good diagnosis starts with the exact symptom, model, operating conditions, and service history. The technician tests the systems connected to the failure instead of replacing parts by guesswork.

  • Power, supply, and controls to confirm the machine can start and complete its normal sequence.
  • Airflow, water, heat, and movement as applicable to the exact equipment type.
  • Error history and model data before matching parts, manuals, or service information.

Model reference

Blodgett models and manuals

Use the model search to confirm that your equipment is listed. The model and serial label is still the final reference for service information.

Symptoms and care

Bastion Service repairs Blodgett ovens. These model and manual references help identify your equipment; symptoms alone do not confirm a diagnosis.

Manual candidates require the complete model, serial/build and installed controller to be checked. A specification sheet is not an operating manual. These references do not authorize installation or DIY repair.

Repair service only. New equipment installation is not offered.

DFG-100-ES and DFG-200-ES gas ovens3 topics Back to models and manuals

Official PDF: PN 57932 Rev K (7/24)

No heat is not automatically an ignition-part failure

A DFG-ES oven can lose heat because of supply, switch, temperature-setting or door conditions. Record its behavior before naming a failed part. If gas is suspected, do not relight it or operate electrical switches. Leave the affected area and contact the gas supplier from outside.

An inactive fan may reflect the fitted controls

The DFG-ES chart includes an optional fan delay and operating-mode conditions alongside supply and door checks. That does not prove the motor needs replacement. A displayed error needs the reference for the installed controller, not a code list from another Blodgett oven.

Keep cleaning and gas-vent inspection separate

This edition distinguishes routine cleaning, weekly attention to cooling-air intakes and an annual gas-vent inspection. The vent inspection belongs to qualified personnel. Access and cleaning products must match the actual oven; these tasks are not permission to move connected equipment or perform internal repairs.

DFG-100 and DFG-200 gas ovens3 topics Back to models and manuals

Official PDF: PN 90055 Rev AL (7/24)

Ready status and heating performance are different observations

For the non-ES DFG oven, note whether preheating is still underway or the oven persistently fails to become ready. Gas-supply and temperature-control conditions need different checks. Report the elapsed preheat and control setting; a readiness complaint alone does not identify a replacement component.

Describe the pattern of inconsistent baking

Record whether the problem follows a pan position, a particular load or a recipe setting. Circulation, programming where fitted, calibration and venting are different considerations in this gas-oven chart. Testing should distinguish them before a repair is selected; do not adjust the calibration yourself.

Cleaner selection needs the applicable instructions

Clean only when the oven is cold and safely isolated as its instructions require. Follow the cleaner safety information and the restrictions for the surface being cleaned. Control-cover removal, energized testing and component disassembly are outside routine operator care.

ZEPHAIRE-100-G-ES and ZEPHAIRE-200-G-ES gas ovens3 topics Back to models and manuals

Official PDF: PN 57937 Rev J (8/19)

Identify which Zephaire gas controls are installed

The gas ES chart includes an optional fan delay and a computerized-control error reference. Neither is a diagnosis of a failed motor or board. Note the operating mode and exact display so the control configuration can be identified before troubleshooting continues.

Uneven results need more than a temperature complaint

For Zephaire gas ES ovens, pan arrangement, loading and circulation help explain the baking pattern. The chart also distinguishes calibration and gas-venting concerns. Describe where food cooks differently and whether the pattern changes with the load; leave control adjustments and vent checks to qualified personnel.

Separate operator cleaning from service access

The reviewed ES edition refers to daily cleaning and weekly cooling-air intake care. That timing is tied to those tasks, not every component. Use only safely accessible areas and the applicable instructions; do not pull a connected oven away from its restraint to reach the back.

ZEPHAIRE-100-G and ZEPHAIRE-200-G gas ovens3 topics Back to models and manuals

Official PDF: PN 52898 Rev M (3/18)

Do not use the ES fault chart for a non-ES complaint

The selected Zephaire gas non-ES fan chart is narrower than the ES chart. It lists supply, protective-device and door conditions without the same optional fan-delay entry. Record whether the fan is stopped and whether the door is closed; do not assume the two versions have identical controls.

Report whether the oven heats at all

No heat and a long wait for readiness are different reports. The non-ES gas chart considers operating settings, door position and supply conditions, with temperature control also relevant to readiness. Describe the sequence without reconnecting gas, bypassing a switch or repeatedly resetting the equipment.

Weekly airflow care is a specific task

This manual calls for weekly attention to cooling-air intakes and does not specify routine oven lubrication. That does not make the oven maintenance-free. Keep openings unobstructed where they can be reached safely, and arrange qualified access when the required work is beyond routine cleaning.

ZEPHAIRE-100-E and ZEPHAIRE-200-E electric ovens3 topics Back to models and manuals

Official PDF: PN 52789 Rev Q (3/18)

No heat does not establish a failed element

The Zephaire electric chart considers electrical supply, the operating switch, temperature setting and door position before a part diagnosis. Note the setting and whether the door is fully closed. A gas-ignition troubleshooting procedure is not appropriate for this electric oven.

Separate loading effects from calibration concerns

Pan placement, loading and air circulation can affect baking results. Describe the pattern and recipe settings so those conditions can be distinguished from a temperature-calibration concern. Leave calibration adjustments and internal electrical checks to qualified personnel.

Routine cleaning is not permission to open controls

Use the electric oven instructions and cleaner safety information for the surface involved. The reviewed page describes routine cleaning without the same explicit daily wording found in some other editions. Let the oven cool and follow safe isolation requirements; do not remove control covers as a cleaning step.

MARK V-100 and MARK V-200 electric ovens3 topics Back to models and manuals

Official PDF: PN 17561 Rev AD (7/24)

A Mark V fan delay depends on its configuration

The Mark V electric chart includes an optional fan delay as well as operating-mode, supply and door conditions. A quiet fan during a delay is not the same report as a fan that never operates. Identify the installed control before deciding what the symptom means.

Record the display without guessing its meaning

The reviewed Mark V troubleshooting page mentions a computerized-control error but does not define a particular error number. Record the display exactly. Missing heat can also involve supply, switch, setpoint or door state, so an error reference alone does not establish which part needs repair.

Keep weekly intake care distinct from internal service

Cooling-air intakes have a weekly care recommendation in this edition. Cleaning requires a cold oven and appropriate power isolation; a dark display is not proof of isolation. The manual does not specify routine lubrication. Internal electrical and mechanical access belongs to qualified personnel.

CTB / CTBR4 topics Back to models and manuals

Family manual; unit match unconfirmed: PN 11361 Rev X (7/19)

No heat, delayed readiness or uneven baking

An oven that stays cold may have a supply, operating-setting, door-position or control issue. A stopped fan can also involve the selected mode or an optional delay. Uneven baking may involve recipe settings or temperature calibration. These symptoms do not identify a failed part without diagnosis.

What the heating light means

On the Solid State Manual panel shown in this edition, the heating lamp tracks heat demand; turning off at temperature is expected. The timer buzzer marks elapsed cooking time, not an error code. Other panels need their own instructions.

Cleaning and cooling-air openings

This edition separates daily cleaning from weekly attention to cooling-air openings. Cleaning requires a cool, electrically isolated oven. Follow the applicable cleaning restrictions; internal access and component removal are not included in this owner overview.

Leave internal electrical work to a technician

Do not open the control compartment or move the oven to investigate a fault. Electrical isolation and equipment-restraint requirements must be addressed before service.

DFG-504 topics Back to models and manuals

Family manual; unit match unconfirmed: PN 17355 Rev X (8/20)

Ignition, fan and baking concerns

Failure to heat can involve gas or electrical supply, operating settings, doors or controls. Slow readiness may involve gas delivery, temperature control or an optional fan delay. Baking problems may involve recipe settings, calibration or venting. Diagnosis separates these possibilities; gas and electrical adjustments require a technician.

Readiness indicators depend on the panel

The manual-control ready lamp indicates burner activity. CH-Pro3 has separate readiness and heating indicators. Identify the installed panel before interpreting its lights; the same label does not carry one meaning across every controller.

Keep cleaning and vent inspection separate

The manual lists daily cleaning, weekly cooling-opening cleaning and annual vent inspection as separate tasks. That is not one interval for every repair or component. Cleaning requires cooling and electrical isolation; component removal and vent service need qualified review.

Suspected gas leakage is not a reset problem

If gas leakage is suspected, stop using the oven and follow emergency gas-safety procedures. Do not attempt repeated ignition, disconnect gas fittings or open controls to investigate.

XR8-G / XR8-E4 topics Back to models and manuals

Official PDF: PN 38480 Rev X (9/26)

Heating, fan and rack-position problems

Heating concerns may involve power, settings, doors or temperature control. Gas-supply and burner-draft checks apply to gas equipment, not XR8-E. A fan delay can affect airflow. A rack that stops incorrectly needs assessment of its positioning controls, not an assumed motor replacement.

Cooking messages are not failure codes

Standard and MenuSelect panels have different displays. Completion and automatic cool-down messages describe cooking states. On the documented MenuSelect cycle, steam can affect fan operation. Those observations do not explain every stopped fan or authorize a reset.

Routine care without a blanket service interval

Daily cleaning and weekly air-intake care are separate items in this edition. Start only with a cold, electrically isolated oven. The preventive-maintenance wording also refers to usage hours; it does not establish one annual service schedule for every XR8.

Stop use if the rack keeps turning with a door open

If the rack keeps turning after a door is opened, stop using the oven. Do not reach in or repeat the event to test it. Leave rack-switch adjustment, internal electrical work and gas-system work to qualified personnel. Suspected gas leakage on XR8-G requires emergency handling, not another ignition attempt.

HVH-100E/G: control-panel identification1 topic Back to models and manuals

Conditional manufacturer manual; identify the matching model and panel | Document: PN 59234 Rev I (2/24)

Match the control panel first

An HV/HVH manual covers different controls. Its Standard Control section excludes HVH-100E/G. Send a nameplate and panel photo before using touchscreen-specific guidance.

HVH-100E/G with SmartTouch 24 topics Back to models and manuals

Conditional manufacturer manual; identify the matching model and panel | Document: PN 59234 Rev I (2/24)

START is missing during preheat

In SmartTouch 2 manual mode, START stays hidden until the set temperature is reached. If warming stalls, report the displayed temperature and selected mode rather than repeatedly restarting.

Fan runs faster during warm-up

SmartTouch 2 uses high fan speed during preheat and cooldown. A lower selected cooking speed does not override that phase. Report unexpected behavior that continues afterward.

Airflow changes when the vent opens

HVH actively moves air through its venting system when the vent opens. Note the vent icon and cooking phase when reporting a moisture problem; airflow alone does not identify a failed component.

DONE with a completion alarm

DONE marks completion, not a fault code. In timed manual cooking, CANCEL acknowledges the alarm. Probe cooking has a separate completion sequence; identify the active mode first.

HVH-100E/G with One Touch2 topics Back to models and manuals

Conditional manufacturer manual; identify the matching model and panel | Document: PN 59234 Rev I (2/24)

One Touch starts differently

One Touch manual cooking uses timer entry to begin cooking. Do not troubleshoot it using the SmartTouch START-button rule. Record the timer mode and screen when behavior seems wrong.

One Touch DONE is a status

In timed manual cooking, DONE and an alarm mark timer completion; touching the screen acknowledges it. Probe completion is different. Neither message confirms that food is safe.

HVH-100E/G touchscreen breaker precautions1 topic Back to models and manuals

Conditional manufacturer manual; identify the matching model and panel | Document: PN 59234 Rev I (2/24)

The breaker is not the daily power control

For these touchscreen controls, use the operating controls described in the matching manual, not the circuit breaker as a routine power switch. Do not open the control panel.

HVH-100E/G: matched 2024 manual care2 topics Back to models and manuals

Conditional manufacturer manual; identify the matching model and panel | Document: PN 59234 Rev I (2/24)

Keep daily and weekly care separate

Plan daily cleaning and weekly attention to air intakes, the control filter and behind the fan guard. The manual also recommends six-month blower-wheel cleaning. Arrange trained personnel for work requiring removal of guards or parts.

Do not hose the exterior

Interior cleaning directions do not authorize spraying the exterior. Follow the matching manual and cleaner safety instructions. The supplied interior-wash spray nozzle is not a drinking-water outlet.

HVH-100G gas-odor safety1 topic Back to models and manuals

Conditional manufacturer manual; identify the matching model and panel | Document: PN 59234 Rev I (2/24)

Gas odor is not a reset problem

Do not ignite an appliance or operate electrical switches. From outside, contact the gas supplier immediately; call the fire department if the supplier cannot be reached. Do not attempt a repair.

Maintenance

Prevent avoidable breakdowns

Maintenance intervals come from the instructions for the exact model and its operating conditions. Heavy use, heat, dust, grease, hard water, and poor ventilation can shorten the interval.

Keep airflow clear

Clean accessible filters and keep vents, coils, and surrounding space free of dust, grease, boxes, and fabric.

Watch for early changes

Longer cycles, unstable temperature, new sounds, leaks, and repeated error messages are reasons to schedule service before a shutdown.

Use the exact instructions

Cleaning products, procedures, filters, and intervals vary by model. Follow the manufacturer instructions for the exact equipment.
